Hannah Herbst, a 15 year old from Boca Raton, was awarded $25,000 and named America’s Top Young Scientist in nation’s premier middle school science competition by Discovery Science and 3M.  Hannah created an energy probe prototype that seeks to offer a stable power source to developing countries by using untapped energy from ocean currents.  Hannah will be on the main stage as well as visiting with the young scientists in STEM Expo’s Girls in Tech class hosted by Ultimate Software.
